Building a family is a right, not a privilege. All individuals should be able to create a family and legacy if they desire. It is important for the LGBTQ+ community to have advocates that are knowledgeable and experienced in Third Party Reproduction to help guide and mentor them in the processes that are available to successfully have the children and family that they have always imagined. During my time in Cincinnati, I have worked closely with the LGBTQ+ community to educate and provide services to help reach these goals. I have also worked closely with the Transgender Health Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital to provide stress free ways to preserve eggs and sperm prior to gender transition to preserve an individual's future fertility. Moving to Grand Rapids has provided me with a new community to establish connections and optimize reproductive health care in West Michigan.
