Privacy
How this directory handles analytics data.
What we collect
We collect anonymous usage data: which pages are visited, searches submitted, filters used, and links clicked. Each visit is tied only to a random, opaque identifier stored in a first-party cookie — it is not connected to your name, email, or any other identity.
What we do not collect
We do not collect names, email addresses, or raw IP addresses. We use no third-party trackers, no advertising identifiers, and no cross-site tracking. Your data is never sold or shared with advertisers.
Why we collect it
The Consortium uses this data to understand community needs — what kinds of affirming care people are looking for — and to find gaps between what visitors search for and the providers in the directory. It also helps us improve the site itself.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is retained on a storage-based basis, managed by Consortium administrators. The oldest data is removed automatically when storage limits are reached.
Who can see it
Only the Consortium administration team can view analytics. Search query text receives extra protection: it is encrypted at rest, and viewing the raw text of a search requires elevated access and a logged, justified reason.
