LGBTQ+ training

I've had numerous trainings around providing gender-affirming clinical care, including: coming alongside caregivers around acceptance to reduce risk, understanding the chronic stress and corresponding biological and mental health concerns, need for and barriers to accessing gender affirming clinical and medical care, cis/hetero bias, disproportionality in adult and child-serving systems, mitigating suicidal risk for gender minority youth, religious trauma, social media as a support for LGBTQA+ youth, WPATH requirements to support gender affirming surgery and medical care. My experiences include being a member of the True Colors Strategic Planning Committee and workgroups, coordinating and benefiting from ongoing clinical consultation with Dr. Caitlyn Ryan of the Family Acceptance Project, supervising trans/LGBTQIA+ clinicians and providing therapy for trans/LGBTQIA+ youth - my greatest teachers.
