Reason for joining the directory

Being a member of the community myself, I have a passion for working with and providing care for the LGBTQIA+ community. I understand the challenges and barriers in finding a safe and affirming medical provider and in finding a provider who is knowledgeable about the needs of this community. It is important to me to be visible as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community with the hope patients will feel more comfortable and confident in the care they are receiving.

LGBTQ+ training

As a family medicine physician, I provide comprehensive primary care for all individuals. I have extensive experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community and am able to offer important primary care services: HIV screening, PrEP for HIV, HIV treatment, STI screening, gender-affirming hormone treatment, and general primary care. Through certification from the American Academy of HIV Medicine, I have received the HIV specialist designation (AAHIVS), which provides me with the foundation and confidence in providing comprehensive care for persons living with HIV. I have also attended HIV and transgender health conferences to stay up to date on important topics in these areas.
