Reason for joining the directory

I am a fierce advocate for the full rights, humanity and dignity of LGBTQ2S+ humans and really love working with folks to help them accept and appreciate all of themselves and work with any symptoms they are experiencing. I also love working with neurodivergent folks and am neurodivergent myself.

LGBTQIA+ training

My main focus in graduate school was working with and supporting LGBTQIA2S+ populations and trauma which was what I focused most of my research projects on. I interned at the Grand Rapids Price Center for 1 year and volunteered as the facilitator of the GRPC's Caregiver group from April 2022-June 2023. I co-led the "We Support Gender Affirming Care" Initiative from October 2022-June 2023. I co-created and co-facilitated the TGNC Grief Support Group from December 2021-June 2021. I also participated with the ACLU LGBTA public policy group from April 2022-June 2023. I have taken many trainings on LGBTQ2S+ including attending the Trans Wellness Conference, Mazzoni Center in July 2019 & 2022, Clinical practice with clients in the Kink & BDSM Community in February 2020, in October 2022, I attended the Critical Cultural Competency with ERACCE. September 2020-September 2021 I was in a Racial Affinity Group Development with Ruth King and in October 2019 I attended a weekend workshop "Healing the Body's Racial Trauma" with Resmaa Menakem.
