Mental health is a prevalent concern among all communities. To provide safe and effective patient care, it is important for patient's to feel comfortable with their provider. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am hopeful that patient's feel comfortable opening up. Especially with the vulnerability required in mental healthcare. Not only am I a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, but have struggled with mental health issues. I understand the frustration associated with navigating the healthcare system and finding a clinician that I trust.
