Reason for joining the directory

I would like to be added to the Consortium’s provider list because I’m passionate about making it easier for individuals and families in our community to find compassionate, supportive mental health care when they need it. I have specialized experience working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as clients navigating trauma, relationship and family conflict, life transitions, and personal identity. Being part of the Consortium would allow me to build stronger connections with other community providers and organizations while creating another pathway for people to access care. My goal is to provide a welcoming, judgment-free space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their healing process.

In their own words

To me, good allyship is about making a genuine effort to understand and support people, even when their experiences are different from my own. I really value making people feel heard, respected, and comfortable being who they are. I know I’m not going to have all the answers or always say the perfect thing, but I think what matters is being willing to listen, learn, and do better when needed. I try to lead with empathy and kindness, speak up when something doesn’t feel right, and be someone others feel safe and supported around.

Yes. I have experience providing inclusive, affirming care to LGBTQIA+ clients, including individuals exploring identity, relationships, family dynamics, trauma, and other life experiences. My approach is person-centered and focuses on creating a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where clients feel respected and comfortable being themselves. While my experience is not limited to one specific LGBTQIA+ population, I am committed to providing culturally responsive and affirming care to individuals across diverse sexual orientations and gender identities.
