Reason for joining the directory
I have always been drawn to providing affirming care to LGBTQ+ clients, as I strongly believe that all humans should be respected for their differences and variety brings beauty in the human experience. I have felt heartbroken hearing the trauma stories many have experienced from family, school, work, healthcare and even other therapy providers just for being their authentic selves, and I am determined to provide a safe space for client to be themselves during their sessions without the fear of being judged. I do not believe being LGBTQ+ is in any way harmful, in fact, I believe it is wonderful to be free to express yourself authentically and should be celebrated.
