Reason for joining the directory

I want to be added to the Consortium's provider list because I'm deeply passionate about working with the queer community and expanding access to inclusive and safe care. I understand how difficult it can be to find a provider who not only understands queer identity but is also open to learning about the personal intersections of complex trauma, dissociation, chronic illness, and disability that are common in our community. This layering of experiences often creates unique challenges that can make it overwhelming to find the right support. It can also be exhausting to search through large directories, hoping to find a provider who can support at least one of the many parts of who you are. Being part of the Consortium aligns with my values around accessibility, inclusion, and community care. I also bring a strong focus on the mind-body connection and understand, both personally and professionally, how uncomfortable it can feel to be in one's body. Especially when words are hard to find. My somatic therapy approach supports clients in building curiosity and tenderness as they work toward feeling more at home in themselves.

LGBTQ+ training

Supporting the LGBTQ+ community in therapy is grounded in my clinical training as well as my ongoing personal and professional engagement. My approach is grounded in non-pathologizing, evidence-based care, and I am especially focused on queer and trans-affirming practices. I have written letters for gender-affirming medical care in alignment with WPATH Standards of Care and continue to expand my knowledge through trainings in areas such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing, anti-racism and implicit bias, neurodivergent-affirming care, ethical non-monogamy, and human trafficking awareness. I see advocacy as a central part of the therapeutic relationship and remain passionate about continually learning to better serve my clients.
