Reason for joining the directory
Working at Pine Rest, it's sometimes difficult to assure potential clients that I am an affirming counselor and member of the LGBTQ+ community because "Christian" is in our name. You don't have to identify as Christian to obtain services at Pine Rest or even to work here. My hope with being added to the Consortium's list is that more people have access to a safe, supportive counselor. It's vitally important to me that I am serving this population, so I am always looking for ways to let the community know I'm here.
