Reason for joining the directory
It was recommended at a recent Equality Michigan webinar I attended, and that validated the consortium's reputation for me. I work with clients in the Grand Rapids area, refer to other queer providers in the Grand Rapids area, and being a part of this directory will help me further develop my referral network of providers (I often refer clients for other forms of care) and it will allow me more opportunity to connect with the people I enjoy working with the most and whose care I have spent my career specializing in.

My undergraduate studies included a focus on Queer Theory, and I specialize in treating mental health symptoms associated with the minority stress of existing as a trans or otherwise queer person in a transphobic society. I completed training with WPATH's GEI program in 2021 and have written numerous WPATH letters for current and past clients seeking various forms of gender-affirming medical care. I completed training with the MI-NASW in gender affirming care and am listed in their gender affirming provider directory, and completed IFS training that was tailored to providers focusing on queer and trans care. In my personal life I am in community with queer and trans people, am a contractor with a lesbian-owned business and engage in activism related to the queer community of Michigan.
