Reason for joining the directory
I listened to a very powerful panel presentation about health equity and was astounded by the number of people who avoid health care facilities because of bad experiences they have had. This was very frustrating to me because no one should ever feel unwelcomed or less than because of who they are. Everyone deserves to receive care in a comfortable setting where they can continue to be themselves.
