Reason for joining the directory

I want LGBTQIA+ adults in West Michigan to have access to a dietitian who truly gets them. Many of my clients come to me after feeling judged, misgendered or dismissed by other providers, especially around food, weight and their bodies. LGBTQIA+ people face higher rates of eating disorders, and many are also neurodivergent or living with chronic conditions like POTS, EDS or GI issues. I noticed QHub doesn't list a dietitian yet, and I'd love to fill that gap. Because I work by telehealth, I can see clients anywhere in Michigan, including rural areas where affirming care can be hard to find. Being on your list would help me reach people who need nutrition care that's gender-affirming, weight-neutral and shame-free.

In their own words

Being queer means I get to show up as my whole self, and I want my clients to have that same experience. So much of healthcare asks LGBTQIA+ people to explain, justify or hide parts of who they are. I know how exhausting that is. In my sessions, you can drop the mask. Your name, pronouns, body and identity are respected from the start, and we focus on care that fits your life instead of someone else's idea of "normal." For me, being LGBTQIA+ is about community, authenticity and making sure the people I serve finally feel seen and heard.

LGBTQIA+ training

Training: Health Across the Gender Spectrum, Stanford University School of Medicine (2025), focused on gender-affirming care for transgender, nonbinary and gender-expansive patients. Co-led a VA training on eating disorders in LGBTQ+ communities (2021), focused on eating disorder risk, screening and affirming treatment for LGBTQ+ veterans. Understanding Trauma-Informed Care (VA, 2025) and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Trauma-Informed Care (VA, 2022). Experience: Through Nourish, I provide telehealth nutrition care for LGBTQIA+ adults in 27 states, including transgender, nonbinary and gender-expansive clients. My focus is eating disorders and ARFID, neurodivergence (ADHD and autism), POTS/EDS/MCAS and GI conditions, all of which often overlap for LGBTQIA+ clients. As a queer provider (they/she), I bring lived experience as well, and care is gender-affirming and weight-neutral, with names and pronouns respected from the first contact.
