Reason for joining the directory
It is my duty to continue ally ship in any capacity or form. As a doula, I already provide a level of support, care and gain trust from my clients. I want that support to not just be in the realm of birth work but in every way i show up in community. while I do not necessarily identify under the umbrella, its not hard to know right from right. I want to use the privilege I have as a cis woman to better my people who are ignorant, while support those around me.

I graduated in 2022 from Grand Valley State University with a degree in women gender and sexuality studies. I took a training with a professor who identifies as a transman who talked about the inclusivity of being a birthing person and how to support birthing folks that look/ identify like they do.
