Reason for joining the directory
I want to be listed as an affirming provider because I believe in basic human rights and promoting human dignity, as an ally and a mental health professional it's important to change and disrupt the systems in place that disproportionally impact minority groups like LGBTQ+ community. As an ally and a cisgender/heterosexual individual I can enter spaces primarily dominated by other cisgender/hetero individuals and advocate and educate (with humility of course). I believe in promoting equality and advocating for all people no matter the race, gender, sexual identity or orientation.
